A few days ago, I spied a very recently deceased cicada on the sidewalk. I sent her some love and kept going but then thought about her fate: What would become of her there on the sidewalk? In a fit of hubris, I turned around, scooped her up, and brought her home.
Later . . . I found that her banged-up wings, when arranged just so, turned into the most beautiful Gothic arch this side of the Mississippi.

DETAILS: Please choose an option that reflects both the SIZE print you'd like (5x5, 8x8, or 12x12 inches) and FINISHING you'd like (print only or print plus professional matting and framing).
IF YOU CHOOSE A PRINT ONLY (without finishing), this includes the image of your choice professionally printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl paper, with a small 1/4-inch white border all around the image. Pearl paper creates a beautiful sheen that makes images really pop.
IF YOU CHOOSE A PRINT WITH MAT & FRAME, you will receive a top-quality finished piece, ready for hanging, assembled by professionals whose only jobs are framing. Your piece will include:
● The image of your choice, professionally printed on archival lustre paper with premium archival inks. The print will be professionally mounted onto foamcore to help prevent wrinkles and slippage over time.
● A classic black frame, made from 100% solid wood, hand-crafted in the U.S., and measuring approximately 3/4 inch in width around the mat.
● A classic white mat with a black core (to separate the image from the mat), made from acid-free, archival, rag fiber paper, measuring approximately 2.5 inches wide around the photograph. ****PLEASE NOTE that with 2.5 inches of matting around an image, the proportions and overall look of the piece will change depending on the print size you choose. SEE INDIVIDUAL ROOM PHOTOS to get an idea of this, as well as to see the final dimensions of the outer frame for each size print.
● Strong, high-quality acrylic glazing. This is less likely than glass to shatter, it offers UV protection for the artwork, and it is crystal clear (without the greenish tint that glass sometimes has).
● Sealing paper over the back of the piece to help protect your piece from dust and moisture.
● Hanging hardware pre-attached to the back of the piece.
IF YOU CHOOSE A CANVAS GALLERY WRAP: The image is professionally printed onto high-quality artist's canvas and stretched over a hidden frame, with a finished black backing and hardware already installed for hanging. No additional framing needed. The finished piece is 1.25 inches deep and has a clear acrylic, scratch-resistant coating applied. *** EXTRA TIME: This will be printed on demand, so please allow 10 days for processing, with additional time for shipping.
